Miss Fame

Miss Fame is a model (represented by both Wilhelmina and IMG Models Paris), makeup artist, and recording artist. 

Miss Fame, whose real name is Kurtis Dam-Mikkelsen was born in San LuisObispo, CA. Kurtis worked as a male editorial model in California. In 2011, he moved to New York and started working as a makeup artist. Trained underleading artists in the fashion industry such as Pat McGrath, he collaborated with brands like Prada, Versace, and Tommy Hilfiger and built a celebrity clientele.

At the same time, he began modeling and performing as a drag artist under the name Miss Fame and was quickly noticed by renowned photographers. Her unique and glamorous esthetic got her in front the cameras of Giampaolo Sgura, as first drag artist to be featured in editorial in Vogue Germany, as well as Mary McCartney, Sophie Elgort, Mikael Schulz, Albert Sanchez, amongst others.

Miss Fame was featured in numerous publications including V Magazine (Jan 2018), LOVE (Feb 2018), Tush (cover Sep 2017), Vogue Germany (Aug 2017), and ELLE.

Additionally, Miss Fame provided beauty and makeup tips on CBS, PIX 11, Cosmopolitan, MashableThe Huffington Post, and others. Miss Fame also runs her own YouTube channel dedicated to beauty tutorials. Fame appeared on the OUT100 list by OUT Magazine which celebrates the 100 most compelling LGBT personalities of the year. 

In 2016, Miss Fame became a spokesmodel for L’Oréal Paris and was the first drag artist ever to walk the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival. Since then, she shot two global beauty campaigns for the brand and attended the 2017 Berlin Film Festival. 

In 2015, Miss Fame was a contestant on RuPaul Drag Race Season 7, and released an album titled Beauty Marked. Miss Fame also appeared in Brooke Candy's music video OPULENCE directed by Steven Klein as well as in Jennifer Hudson's video Go All Night.
